H&M Fall 2012 Campaign
American singer/songwriter Lana Del Ray has been building quite a buzz. After her hit, Video Games, gained popularity, the world has seemed to notice her stunning good looks and passionate sound. Not only is her voice dreamy and soulful, but it matches her 60’s retro style fashion choices. It’s no wonder H&M was anxious to use her fresh face for their fall 2012 ad campaign. This may be Del Rey’s first major campaign, but she hardly looks novice posing in the season’s most coveted wardrobe essentials. Photographers Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin shot Del Ray in the latest collection, filled with oversized knit pieces, colorful prints and classic tweed jackets and dresses. The rich gemtones of autumn are on display, softened with pastel hues in mint, baby pink and slate blue. The floral watercolor prints are a romantic accent to angora sweaters and luxurious fur lined coats. Accessories are just as sweet with small hair bows, large jeweled earrings and satin headbands. The hair and makeup used for the campaign suits Del Ray and the mod mood of the advertisements. H&M’s fall assortment offers a smooth transition from summer’s hot months into the cooler fashion season. Stay tuned to see Del Ray in the brand’s upcoming winter advertisements.
