Perth Fashion Festival – Designer Capsule 3

The final instalment of the capsule series took to Fashion Paramount to cap off what has well and truly been an unforgettable series of showcases. The last series would feature collections from Empire Rose, Nikki Loueza and Breathless three very different labels. Commencing the proceedings was Empire Rose, the brainchild of local Designer Kathryn Cizeika, establishing her label in 1998. Some of the Fashion|One staff were fortunate enough to meet with her pre-show and have a quick chat about her vibrant label which was a definite highlight of the evening. Models showcased the Spring Summer 12/13 capsule collection ‘Tribal Meets Technicolour’ in a magnificent flurry of colour texture and print. Layered in beautiful accessories from Behind the Monkey, the make-up and woven Inca ponytail hair was truly unique and beautiful, one of the best collections of the festival. Nikki Loueza was to follow, with their Edward Scissor-hand inspired Spring Summer 12/13 Collection. A relatively new label they’ve just opened a flagship Store in King Street in Perth, the designers a duo Nicole Hardie and Isobel Macaulay (of Pinchandspoon). Displaying a dark, moody casual chic collection, the range was simple and artistic. Breathless finished the evening in quite the majestic manner, the colour kept simple with a palette of Navy, Khaki, red and black in regal silhouettes.
